Joining them were Heman, Jeduthun, and the rest of those chosen and designated by name to give thanks to the Lord. (For his loyal love endures!) ¹ 

They will perish, but you will endure. ¹  They will wear out like a garment; like clothes you will remove them and they will disappear. ² 

He generously gives ¹  to the needy; his integrity endures. ²  He will be vindicated and honored. ³ 

The Lord avenges me. ¹  O Lord, your loyal love endures. Do not abandon those whom you have made! ² 

Your kingdom is an eternal kingdom, ¹  and your dominion endures through all generations.

We do hard work, toiling with our own hands. When we are verbally abused, we respond with a blessing, when persecuted, we endure,

But as God’s servants, ¹  we have commended ourselves in every way, ²  with great endurance, in persecutions, ³  in difficulties, in distresses,

You, however, be self-controlled ¹  in all things, endure hardship, do an evangelist’s work, fulfill your ministry.

But remember the former days when you endured a harsh conflict of suffering after you were enlightened.

For you need endurance in order to do God’s will and so receive what is promised. ¹ 

For this finds God’s favor, ¹  if because of conscience toward God ²  someone endures hardships in suffering unjustly.

But if we are afflicted, ¹  it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort that you experience in your patient endurance of the same sufferings that we also suffer.

How long must your servant endure this? ¹  When will you judge those who pursue me?

A song of ascents. ²  O Lord, for David’s sake remember all his strenuous effort, ³ 

A person’s spirit ¹  sustains him through sickness – but who can bear ²  a crushed spirit? ³ 

Older men are to be temperate, dignified, self-controlled, ¹  sound in faith, in love, and in endurance. ² 

For they could not bear what was commanded: “If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned.” ¹ 

No one can withstand ¹  his indignation! ²  No one can resist ³  his fierce anger! ⁴  His wrath is poured out like volcanic fire, boulders are broken up ⁵  as he approaches. ⁶ 

But ¹  they have no root in themselves and do not endure. ²  Then, when trouble or persecution comes because of the word, immediately they fall away.

But what if God, willing to demonstrate his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience the objects ¹  of wrath ²  prepared for destruction? ³
