He lifted me out of the watery pit, ¹  out of the slimy mud. ²  He placed my feet on a rock and gave me secure footing. ³ 

¹ Be careful what you do ²  when you go to the temple ³  of God; draw near to listen ⁴  rather than to offer a sacrifice ⁵  like fools, ⁶  for they do not realize that they are doing wrong.

The king and all the people set out on foot, pausing ¹  at a spot ²  some distance away.

the young men would see me and step aside, ¹  and the old men would get up and remain standing;

Hurry and look ¹  at the permanent ruins, and all the damage the enemy has done to the temple! ² 

There are three things that are magnificent ¹  in their step, four things that move about magnificently: ² 

With the timber the king made steps ¹  for the Lord’s temple and royal palace as well as stringed instruments ²  for the musicians. No one had seen anything like them in the land of Judah prior to that. ³ )

May he show ¹  the humble what is right! ²  May he teach ³  the humble his way!

I consider my actions ¹  and follow ²  your rules.

Then some of the elders of Judah ¹  stepped forward and spoke to all the people gathered there. They said,

Surely he loves the people; ¹  all your holy ones ²  are in your power. ³  And they sit ⁴  at your feet, each receiving ⁵  your words.

The sick man answered him, “Sir, ¹  I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up. While I am trying to get into the water, ²  someone else ³  goes down there ⁴  before me.”

Then a spirit ¹  stepped forward and stood before the Lord. He said, ‘I will deceive him.’ The Lord asked him, ‘How?’

Your enemies, O Lord, hurl insults; they insult your chosen king as they dog his footsteps. ¹ 

Just as Jesus ¹  was getting out of the boat, a man with an unclean spirit ²  came from the tombs and met him. ³ 

The Lord told Elijah the Tishbite: ¹ 

All the princes of the sea will vacate ¹  their thrones. They will remove their robes and strip off their embroidered clothes; they will clothe themselves with trembling. They will sit on the ground; they will tremble continually and be shocked at what has happened to you. ² 

The ¹  greatest among you will be your servant.

Then Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people and blessed them and descended from making the sin offering, the burnt offering, and the peace offering.

And the Lord came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the tent; he then called Aaron and Miriam, and they both came forward.
