and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, keep warm and eat well,” but you do not give them what the body needs, ¹  what good is it?

You will laugh at destruction and famine ¹  and need not ²  be afraid of the beasts of the earth.

For it is not necessary ¹  for me to write you about this service ²  to the saints,

but it is more vital for your sake that I remain ¹  in the body. ² 

If a brother or sister ¹  is poorly clothed and lacks daily food,

Now as for you, the anointing ¹  that you received from him ²  resides ³  in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you. But as his ⁴  anointing teaches you about all things, it is true and is not a lie. Just as ⁵  it ⁶  has taught you, you reside ⁷  in him.

They are responsible for his needs ¹  and the needs of the whole community before the tent of meeting, by attending ²  to the service of the tabernacle.

Do not audit the foremen who disburse the silver, for they are honest.” ¹ 

and your poverty will come like a robber, ¹  and your need like an armed man. ² 

Make every effort to help ¹  Zenas the lawyer ²  and Apollos on their way; make sure they have what they need. ³ 

They will not need to take ¹  wood from the field or cut down trees from the forests, because they will make fires with the weapons. They will take the loot from those who looted them and seize the plunder of those who plundered them, ²  declares the sovereign Lord.

I have experienced times of need and times of abundance. In any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of contentment, ¹  whether I go satisfied or hungry, have plenty or nothing.

Honor ¹  widows who are truly in need. ² 

He has no need to do every day what those priests do, to offer sacrifices first for their own sins and then for the sins of the people, since he did this in offering himself once for all.
