Tie up the scroll as legal evidence, ¹  seal the official record of God’s instructions and give it to my followers. ² 

Their children are always thinking about ¹  their ²  altars and their sacred poles dedicated to the goddess Asherah, ³  set up beside the green trees on the high hills

I signed the deed of purchase, ¹  sealed it, and had some men serve as witnesses to the purchase. ²  I weighed out the silver for him on a scale.

“After I had given the copies of the deed of purchase to Baruch son of Neriah, I prayed to the Lord,

For the stones in the walls will cry out, and the wooden rafters will answer back. ¹ 

For nothing is hidden ¹  that will not be revealed, ²  and nothing concealed that will not be made known and brought to light.

He did not need anyone to testify about man, ¹  for he knew what was in man. ² 

The one who has accepted his testimony has confirmed clearly that God is truthful. ¹ 

There is another ¹  who testifies about me, and I know the testimony he testifies about me is true.

(I do not accept ¹  human testimony, but I say this so that you may be saved.)

It is written in your law that the testimony of two men is true. ¹ 

and you also will testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.

Then the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, came in, and he saw and believed. ¹ 

To each person the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the benefit of all.

But all things being exposed by the light are made evident.

Let everyone see your gentleness. ¹  The Lord is near!

You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.

And this is the testimony: God ¹  has given us eternal life, ²  and this life is in his Son.

You have heard; now look at all the evidence! ¹  Will you not admit that what I say is true? ²  From this point on I am announcing to you new events that are previously unrevealed and you do not know about. ³ 

The queen of the South ¹  will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon – and now, ²  something greater than Solomon is here!
