So they asked him, “Then who are you? ¹  Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not!” ²  “Are you the Prophet?” ³  He answered, “No!”

with these words: ¹  “We give you thanks, Lord God, the All-Powerful, ²  the one who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and begun to reign. ³ 

Now ¹  I heard the angel of the waters saying: “You are just ²  – the one who is and who was, the Holy One – because you have passed these judgments, ³ 

Outside are the dogs and the sorcerers ¹  and the sexually immoral, and the murderers, and the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood! ² 

Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry, and why is your expression downcast?

Then Abimelech said to Isaac, “Leave us and go elsewhere, ¹  for you have become much more powerful ²  than we are.”

Then he asked, “Are you really my son Esau?” “I am,” Jacob ¹  replied.

So the Lord ¹  let him alone. (At that time ²  she said, “A bridegroom of blood,” referring to ³  the circumcision.)

He has filled him with the Spirit of God – with skill, with understanding, with knowledge, and in all kinds of work,

“‘You must not eat anything with the blood still in it. ¹  You must not practice either divination or soothsaying. ² 

and the priest will establish its conversion value, ¹  whether good or bad. According to the assessed conversion value of the priest, thus it will be.

When you eat your fill, when you build and occupy good houses,

Then all the peoples of the earth will see that you belong to the Lord, ¹  and they will respect you.

You have forgotten ¹  the Rock who fathered you, and put out of mind the God who gave you birth.

He asked me, ‘Who are you?’ I told him, ‘I’m ¹  an Amalekite.’

Then Abner turned and asked, “Is that you, Asahel?” He replied, “Yes it is!”

Indeed, ¹  you are my lamp, ²  Lord. The Lord illumines ³  the darkness around me. ⁴ 

When Ahab saw Elijah, he ¹  said to him, “Is it really you, the one who brings disaster ²  on Israel?”

Now, O Lord, you are the true God; ¹  you have made this good promise to your servant. ² 

But now the same thing ¹  comes to you, and you are discouraged; ²  it strikes you, and you are terrified. ³
