The backslider ¹  will be paid back ²  from his own ways, but a good person will be rewarded ³  for his.

All of a person’s ways seem right in his own opinion, ¹  but the Lord evaluates ²  the motives. ³ 

Haughty eyes and a proud heart – the agricultural product ¹  of the wicked is sin.

I have examined all this by wisdom; I said, “I am determined ¹  to comprehend this” ²  – but it was beyond my grasp. ³ 

Tell the innocent ¹  it will go well with them, ²  for they will be rewarded for what they have done. ³ 

Egypt will not be able to do a thing, head or tail, shoots and stalk. ¹ 

The nations run away when they hear a loud noise; ¹  the nations scatter when you spring into action! ²

Justice must flow like torrents of water, righteous actions ¹  like a stream that never dries up.

You refuse to believe a day of disaster will come, ¹  but you establish a reign of violence. ² 

Then people from Jerusalem, ¹  as well as all Judea and all the region around the Jordan, were going out to him,

But the expert, ¹  wanting to justify ²  himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”

and having been freed from sin, you became enslaved to righteousness.

So, I find the law that when I want to do good, evil is present with me.

Look at the people of Israel. ¹  Are not those who eat the sacrifices partners in the altar?

And there are different results, but the same God who produces all of them in everyone.
