In regard to the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but in regard to election they are dearly loved for the sake of the fathers.

This is the account of Terah. Terah became the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran. And Haran became the father of Lot.

He let no one oppress them, he disciplined kings for their sake,

For you write down ¹  bitter things against me and cause me to inherit the sins of my youth. ² 

Have you never questioned those who travel the roads? Do you not recognize their accounts ¹  –

then what will I do when God confronts me in judgment; ¹  when he intervenes, ²  how will I respond to him?

for the Lord will execute his sentence on the earth completely and quickly.” ¹

But Laban said to him, “If I have found favor in your sight, please stay here, ¹  for I have learned by divination ²  that the Lord has blessed me on account of you.”

Break the arm ¹  of the wicked and evil man! Hold him accountable for his wicked deeds, ²  which he thought you would not discover. ³ 

for on account ¹  of a prostitute one is brought down to a loaf of bread, but the wife of another man ²  preys on your precious life. ³ 

“This is the conclusion of the matter. As for me, Daniel, my thoughts troubled me greatly, and the color drained from my face. ¹  But I kept the matter to myself.” ²
