The Amorites forced the people of Dan to live in the hill country. They did not allow them to live in ¹  the coastal plain.

But the people refused to heed Samuel’s warning. ¹  Instead they said, “No! There will be a king over us!

Though the stillborn child ¹  came into the world ²  for no reason ³  and departed into darkness, though its name is shrouded in darkness, ⁴ 

For you know in your own heart ¹  that you also have cursed others many times.
