Abishai the brother of Joab was head of the three ¹  elite warriors. He killed three hundred men with his spear ²  and gained fame along with the three elite warriors. ³

The craftsman encourages the metalsmith, the one who wields the hammer encourages ¹  the one who pounds on the anvil. He approves the quality of the welding, ²  and nails it down so it won’t fall over.”

“But woe to you, experts in the law ¹  and you Pharisees, hypocrites! ²  You keep locking people out of the kingdom of heaven! ³  For you neither enter nor permit those trying to enter to go in. ⁴ 

But I said to my master, ‘What if the woman does not want to go ¹  with me?’ ² 

The Lord ¹  will fight for you, and you can be still.” ² 

“‘If, however, ¹  you do not obey me and keep ²  all these commandments –

However, through all this you did not have confidence in the Lord your God,

I will live among the Israelites and will not abandon my people Israel.”

The Lord watches over the innocent day by day ¹  and they possess a permanent inheritance. ²
