Anyone whom the man with the discharge touches without having rinsed his hands in water ¹  must wash his clothes, bathe in water, and be unclean until evening.

Then he came to Simon Peter. Peter ¹  said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash ²  my feet?”

The servant in charge ¹  brought the men into Joseph’s house. He gave them water, and they washed their feet. Then he gave food to their donkeys.

Binding his foal to the vine, and his colt to the choicest vine, he will wash ¹  his garments in wine, his robes in the blood of grapes.

and the one who sent the goat away to Azazel ¹  must wash his clothes, bathe his body in water, and afterward he may reenter the camp.

and the one who burns them must wash his clothes and bathe his body in water, and afterward he may reenter the camp.

Then the priest must wash ¹  his clothes and bathe himself ²  in water, and afterward he may come ³  into the camp, but the priest will be ceremonially unclean until evening.

The one who burns it ¹  must wash his clothes in water and bathe himself in water. He will be ceremonially unclean until evening.

and all the elders of that city nearest the corpse ¹  must wash their hands over the heifer whose neck was broken in the valley. ² 

¹ Wash! Cleanse yourselves! Remove your sinful deeds ²  from my sight. Stop sinning!

He poured water into the washbasin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to dry them with the towel he had wrapped around himself. ¹ 

There is a generation who are pure in their own eyes and yet are not washed ¹  from their filthiness. ² 

The Lord said to Moses, “Go to the people and sanctify them ¹  today and tomorrow, and make them wash ²  their clothes
