May they be humiliated and continually terrified! ¹  May they die in shame! ² 

Yes, ¹  we are consumed by your anger; we are terrified by your wrath.

The wicked ¹  will be captured by his ²  own iniquities, ³  and he will be held ⁴  by the cords of his own sin. ⁵ 

And now, ¹  I will break Assyria’s ²  yoke bar ³  from your neck; ⁴  I will tear apart the shackles ⁵  that are on you.” ⁶ 

“Blessed ¹  are the poor in spirit, ²  for the kingdom of heaven belongs ³  to them.

Finally he sent his son to them, ¹  saying, ‘They will respect my son.’

Wretched man that I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?
