They ¹  said to her, “But ²  none of your relatives bears this name.” ³ 

For they did not dare any longer to ask ¹  him anything.

However, no one spoke openly about him for fear of the Jewish leaders. ¹ 

just as it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one,

so that no one can say that you were baptized in my name!

so that no one can boast in his presence.

Reinforce ¹  these commands, ²  so that they will be beyond reproach.

Now Jericho ¹  was shut tightly ²  because of the Israelites. No one was allowed to leave or enter. ³ 

Deceitful people will not live in my palace. ¹  Liars will not be welcome in my presence. ² 

Look to the right and see! No one cares about me. ¹  I have nowhere to run; ²  no one is concerned about my life. ³ 

I will place the key ¹  to the house of David on his shoulder. When he opens the door, no one can close it; when he closes the door, no one can open it.

No one is concerned about justice; ¹  no one sets forth his case truthfully. They depend on false words ²  and tell lies; they conceive of oppression ³  and give birth to sin.

He sees there is no advocate; ¹  he is shocked ²  that no one intervenes. So he takes matters into his own hands; ³  his desire for justice drives him on. ⁴ 

I looked, but there was no one to help; I was shocked because there was no one offering support. ¹  So my right arm accomplished deliverance; my raging anger drove me on. ² 

No one ¹  was able to answer him a word, and from that day on no one dared to question him any longer.

Everyone who resides ¹  in him does not sin; ²  everyone who sins has neither seen him nor known him.

Who decreed this from the beginning, so we could know? Who announced it ¹  ahead of time, so we could say, ‘He’s correct’? Indeed, none of them decreed it! Indeed, none of them announced it! Indeed, no one heard you say anything!

and they started on their journey. ¹  The surrounding cities were afraid of God, ²  and they did not pursue the sons of Jacob.

When the people heard this troubling word ¹  they mourned; ²  no one put on his ornaments.

But he added, “You cannot see my face, for no one can ¹  see me and live.” ²
