to deliver you ¹  from the adulteress, ²  from the sexually loose woman ³  who speaks flattering ⁴  words; ⁵ 

For the lips ¹  of the adulterous woman drip honey, and her seductive words ²  are smoother than olive oil,

he plots evil with perverse thoughts ¹  in his heart, he spreads contention ²  at all times.

The mouth ¹  of an adulteress is like ²  a deep pit; ³  the one against whom the Lord is angry ⁴  will fall into it. ⁵ 

Like legs that hang limp ¹  from the lame, so ²  is a proverb ³  in the mouth of fools.

But approach, you sons of omen readers, you offspring of adulteresses and prostitutes! ¹
