But the hide of the bull, all its flesh along with its head and its legs, its entrails, and its dung –

If, however, ¹  the raw flesh once again turns white, ²  then he must come to the priest.

Then the heifer must be burned ¹  in his sight – its skin, its flesh, its blood, and its offal is to be burned. ² 

“Do you have eyes of flesh, ¹  or do you see ²  as a human being sees? ³ 

His flesh wastes away from sight, and his bones, which were not seen, are easily visible. ¹ 

then his flesh is restored ¹  like a youth’s; he returns to the days of his youthful vigor. ² 

He remembered ¹  that they were made of flesh, and were like a wind that blows past and does not return. ² 

And at the end of your life ¹  you will groan ²  when your flesh and your body are wasted away. ³ 

ב (Bet) He has made my mortal skin ¹  waste away; he has broken my bones.

Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh – who are called “uncircumcision” by the so-called “circumcision” that is performed on the body ¹  by human hands –

You hear prayers; ¹  all people approach you. ² 

for they are life to those who find them and healing to one’s entire body. ¹ 

For God achieved what the law could not do because ¹  it was weakened through the flesh. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and concerning sin, he condemned sin in the flesh,

Since many ¹  are boasting according to human standards, ²  I too will boast.

but it is more vital for your sake that I remain ¹  in the body. ² 

then I will remember my covenant with you ¹  and with all living creatures of all kinds. ²  Never again will the waters become a flood and destroy ³  all living things. ⁴ 

My body ¹  is clothed ²  with worms ³  and dirty scabs; ⁴  my skin is broken ⁵  and festering.

My bones stick to my skin and my flesh; ¹  I have escaped ²  alive ³  with only the skin of my teeth.

Why do you pursue me like God does? ¹  Will you never be satiated with my flesh? ² 

– children not born ¹  by human parents ²  or by human desire ³  or a husband’s ⁴  decision, ⁵  but by God.
