On the east side, between Hauran and Damascus, and between Gilead and the land of Israel, will be the Jordan. You will measure from the border to the eastern sea. This is the east side.

You must circumcise the flesh of your foreskins. This will be a reminder ¹  of the covenant between me and you.

Laban said, “This pile of stones is a witness of our agreement ¹  today.” That is why it was called Galeed.

“‘Therefore, this is what the sovereign Lord says to them: Look, I myself will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep.
