I also established my covenant with them ¹  to give them the land of Canaan, where they were living as resident foreigners. ² 

The same law will apply ¹  to the person who is native-born and to the foreigner who lives among you.”

There will be one regulation ¹  for you, whether a foreigner or a native citizen, for I am the Lord your God.’”

who justly treats ¹  the orphan and widow, and who loves resident foreigners, giving them food and clothing.

“He has put my relatives ¹  far from me; my acquaintances only ²  turn away from me.

There must be ¹  no other ²  god among you. You must not worship a foreign god.

So Abraham stayed in the land of the Philistines for quite some time. ¹ 

For six days you are to do your work, but on the seventh day you must cease, in order that your ox and your donkey may rest and that your female servant’s son and any hired help ¹  may refresh themselves. ² 

They kill the widow and the one residing outside his native land, and they murder the fatherless. ¹ 

“You are to say to them: ‘Any man ¹  from the house of Israel or ²  from the foreigners who reside ³  in their ⁴  midst, who offers ⁵  a burnt offering or a sacrifice

Therefore, I have said to the Israelites: No person among you is to eat blood, ¹  and no resident foreigner who lives among you is to eat blood. ² 

You yourselves must obey ¹  my statutes and my regulations and must not do any of these abominations, both the native citizen and the resident foreigner in your midst, ² 

The land must not be sold without reclaim ¹  because the land belongs to me, for you are foreigners and residents with me. ² 

And the whole community ¹  of the Israelites and the resident foreigner who lives among them will be forgiven, since all the people were involved in the unintentional offense.

You must have one law for the person who sins unintentionally, both for the native-born among the Israelites and for the resident foreigner who lives among them.

“‘But the person ¹  who acts defiantly, ²  whether native-born or a resident foreigner, insults ³  the Lord. ⁴  That person ⁵  must be cut off ⁶  from among his people.

These six towns will be places of refuge for the Israelites, and for the foreigner, and for the settler among them, so that anyone who kills any person accidentally may flee there.

You must not pervert justice due a resident foreigner or an orphan, or take a widow’s garment as security for a loan.

When you beat your olive tree you must not repeat the procedure; ¹  the remaining olives belong to the resident foreigner, orphan, and widow.

When you gather the grapes of your vineyard you must not do so a second time; ¹  they should go to the resident foreigner, orphan, and widow.
