that during a severe ordeal of suffering, their abundant joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in the wealth ¹  of their generosity.

He waters the mountains from the upper rooms of his palace; ¹  the earth is full of the fruit you cause to grow. ² 

When words abound, transgression is inevitable, ¹  but the one who restrains ²  his words ³  is wise.

He gives strength to those who are tired; to the ones who lack power, he gives renewed energy.

(3:31) ¹  “King Nebuchadnezzar, to all peoples, nations, and language groups that live in all the land: Peace and prosperity! ² 

“But woe ¹  to you who are rich, for you have received ²  your comfort ³  already.

May glory be given to God our Father forever and ever. Amen.

Bring out with you all the living creatures that are with you. Bring out ¹  every living thing, including the birds, animals, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. Let them increase ²  and be fruitful and multiply on the earth!” ³ 

Every living creature which swarms where the river ¹  flows will live; there will be many fish, for these waters flow there. It will become fresh ²  and everything will live where the river flows.
