“To ¹  the angel of the church in Smyrna write the following: ²  “This is the solemn pronouncement of ³  the one who is the first and the last, the one who was dead, but ⁴  came to life:

Then ¹  I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.

The ¹  smoke coming from the incense, ²  along with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand.

Then ¹  the angel I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven

Then ¹  another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle.

Then ¹  the third angel ²  poured out his bowl on the rivers and the springs of water, and they turned into blood.

Then ¹  the fourth angel ²  poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was permitted to scorch people ³  with fire.

Then ¹  I saw an angel descending from heaven, holding ²  in his hand the key to the abyss and a huge chain.

The four tables for the burnt offering were of carved stone, 32 inches ¹  long, 32 inches ²  wide, and 21 inches ³  high. They would put the instruments which they used to slaughter the burnt offering and the sacrifice on them.

Then ¹  I saw another angel ascending from the east, ²  who had ³  the seal ⁴  of the living God. He ⁵  shouted out with a loud voice to the four angels who had been given permission ⁶  to damage the earth and the sea: ⁷ 

Then ¹  I looked, and I heard an ²  eagle ³  flying directly overhead, ⁴  proclaiming with a loud voice, “Woe! Woe! Woe to those who live on the earth because of the remaining sounds of the trumpets of the three angels who are about to blow them!” ⁵ 

They marched out at noon, while Ben Hadad and the thirty-two kings allied with him were drinking heavily ¹  in their quarters. ² 

Your very best valleys were full of chariots; ¹  horsemen confidently took their positions ²  at the gate.

When Joseph awoke from sleep he did what the angel of the Lord ¹  told him. He took his wife,

This is the one about whom it is written: ‘Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, ¹  who will prepare your way before you.’ ² 

The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather from his kingdom everything that causes sin as well as all lawbreakers. ¹ 

For the Son of Man will come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will reward each person according to what he has done. ¹ 

“See that you do not disdain one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven. ¹ 

And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet blast, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven ¹  to the other.

“When ¹  the Son of Man comes in his glory and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.
