The Moabites ¹  said, “It’s blood! The kings are totally destroyed! ²  They have struck one another down! Now, Moab, seize the plunder!”

When the king of Israel saw them, he asked Elisha, “Should I strike them down, ¹  my master?” ²

The Arameans of Damascus came to help King Hadadezer of Zobah, but David killed 22,000 of the Arameans.

The Arameans fled before Israel. David killed 7,000 ¹  Aramean charioteers and 40,000 infantrymen; he also killed Shophach ²  the commanding general.

Abijah and his army thoroughly defeated them; ¹  500,000 well-trained Israelite men fell dead. ² 

When he pulls it out ¹  and it comes out of his back, the gleaming point ²  out of his liver, terrors come over him.

Those who share the king’s fine food will attempt to destroy him, and his army will be swept away; ¹  many will be killed in battle.

So Judas obtained a squad of soldiers ¹  and some officers of the chief priests and Pharisees. ²  They came to the orchard ³  with lanterns ⁴  and torches and weapons.
