Look, I waited for you to speak; ¹  I listened closely to your wise thoughts, ² while you were searching for words.

Indeed, she lies in wait like a robber, ¹  and increases the unfaithful ²  among men. ³ 

For through the Spirit, by faith, we wait expectantly for the hope of righteousness.

where he is now waiting ¹  until his enemies are made a footstool for his feet. ² 

He waited seven more days and then sent out the dove again from the ark.

Patiently wait for God alone, my soul! ¹  For he is the one who gives me confidence. ² 

but these men lie in wait for their own blood, ¹  they ambush their own lives! ² 

Blessed is the one ¹  who listens to me, watching ²  at my doors day by day, waiting ³  beside my doorway. ⁴ 

ד (Dalet) To me he is like a bear lying in ambush, ¹  like a hidden lion ²  stalking its prey. ³ 

ט (Tet) The Lord is good to those who trust ¹  in him, to the one ²  who seeks him.

Now when Jesus returned, ¹  the crowd welcomed him, because they were all waiting for him.

So then, my brothers and sisters, ¹  when you come together to eat, wait for one another.

For this reason the Lord is ready to show you mercy; he sits on his throne, ready to have compassion on you. ¹  Indeed, the Lord is a just God; all who wait for him in faith will be blessed. ² 

So they commanded the Benjaminites, “Go hide in the vineyards,

Saul proceeded to the city ¹  of Amalek, where he set an ambush ²  in the wadi. ³ 

And so by persevering, Abraham ¹  inherited the promise.

At that time they will say, ¹  “Look, here ²  is our God! We waited for him and he delivered us. Here ³  is the Lord! We waited for him. Let’s rejoice and celebrate his deliverance!”

I am ready to vindicate, ¹  I am ready to deliver, ²  I will establish justice among the nations. ³  The coastlands ⁴  wait patiently for me; they wait in anticipation for the revelation of my power. ⁵ 

But when I hoped for good, trouble came; when I expected light, then darkness came.

We ¹  wait for the Lord; he is our deliverer ²  and shield. ³
