Then Elijah appeared before them along with Moses, ¹  and they were talking with Jesus.

And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, hung ¹  the protecting curtain, ²  and shielded the ark of the testimony from view, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

They departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the day ¹  after the Passover the Israelites went out defiantly ²  in plain sight ³  of all the Egyptians.

Pick three men from each tribe. I will send them out to walk through the land and make a map of it for me. ¹ 

The fifty members of the prophetic guild went and stood opposite them at a distance, while Elijah and Elisha ¹  stood by the Jordan.

I had them assemble ¹  at the canal ²  that flows toward Ahava, and we camped there for three days. I observed that the people and the priests were present, but I found no Levites there.

Ezra opened the book in plain view ¹  of all the people, for he was elevated above all the people. When he opened the book, ²  all the people stood up.

After we sighted Cyprus ¹  and left it behind on our port side, ²  we sailed on to Syria and put in ³  at Tyre, ⁴  because the ship was to unload its cargo there.

Therefore let those of us who are “perfect” embrace this point of view. ¹  If you think otherwise, God will reveal to you the error of your ways. ² 

I solemnly charge you before God and Christ Jesus, who is going to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom:

Then Abimelech asked ¹  Abraham, “What prompted you to do this thing?” ² 

So they went up and investigated the land from the wilderness of Zin to Rehob, ¹  at the entrance of Hamath. ² 

and he displayed great power ¹  and awesome might in view of all Israel. ² 

They destroy ¹  my path; they succeed in destroying me ²  without anyone assisting ³  them.

When I look up at the heavens, which your fingers made, and see the moon and the stars, which you set in place, ¹ 

Their slander will bring about their demise. ¹  All who see them will shudder, ² 

They are sustained as they travel along; ¹  each one appears ²  before God in Zion.

Do not let them depart ¹  from your sight, guard ²  them within your heart; ³ 

For the ways of a person ¹  are in front of the Lord’s eyes, and the Lord ²  weighs ³  all that person’s ⁴  paths.

Wisdom is directly in front of ¹  the discerning person, but the eyes of a fool run ²  to the ends of the earth. ³
