But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!

But thanks be to God who put in the heart of Titus the same devotion ¹  I have for you,

We always ¹  give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you,

giving thanks to the Father who has qualified you to share ¹  in the saints’ ²  inheritance in the light.

We thank God always for all of you as we mention you constantly ¹  in our prayers,
