“Suppose such a man has ¹  a violent son who sheds blood and does any of these things ²  mentioned previously

When they saw him walking on the water ¹  they thought he was a ghost. They ²  cried out,

When his accusers stood up, they did not charge ¹  him with any of the evil deeds I had suspected. ² 

Finally Abraham ¹  said, “May the Lord not be angry so that I may speak just once more. What if ten are found there?” He replied, “I will not destroy it for the sake of the ten.”

But they were startled and terrified, thinking ¹  they saw a ghost. ² 

If a brother or sister ¹  is poorly clothed and lacks daily food,

Do you think I have come to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division! ¹ 

and constant bickering by people corrupted in their minds and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness ¹  is a way of making a profit.

Or do you think the scripture means nothing when it says, ¹  “The spirit that God ²  caused ³  to live within us has an envious yearning”? ⁴ 

what if there are five less than the fifty godly people? Will you destroy ¹  the whole city because five are lacking?” ²  He replied, “I will not destroy it if I find forty-five there.”

On the Sabbath day we went outside the city gate to the side of the river, where we thought there would be a place of prayer, and we sat down ¹  and began to speak ²  to the women ³  who had assembled there. ⁴ 

Jonadab, the son of David’s brother Shimeah, said, “My lord should not say, ‘They have killed all the young men who are the king’s sons.’ For only Amnon is dead. This is what Absalom has talked about ¹  from the day that Amnon ²  humiliated his sister Tamar.

Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Who are you looking for?” Because she ¹  thought he was the gardener, she said to him, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will take him.”

Suppose a prophet or one who foretells by dreams ¹  should appear among you and show you a sign or wonder, ² 

if you should see among them ¹  an attractive woman whom you wish to take as a wife,

and I died. So ¹  I found that the very commandment that was intended to bring life brought death! ² 

Because of the impending crisis I think it best for you to remain as you are.

The latter do so from love because they know that I am placed here for the defense of the gospel.

Then the people ¹  who were with Mary ²  in the house consoling her saw her ³  get up quickly and go out. They followed her, because they thought she was going to the tomb to weep ⁴  there.

¹ Moses answered again, ²  “And if ³  they do not believe me or pay attention to me, ⁴  but say, ‘The Lord has not appeared to you’?”
