The cart was coming to the field of Joshua, who was from Beth Shemesh. It paused there near a big stone. Then they cut up the wood of the cart and offered the cows as a burnt offering to the Lord.

The rock badger ¹  is unclean to you because it chews the cud even though its hoof is not divided.

The hare is unclean to you because it chews the cud even though its hoof is not divided.

The sky ¹  was split apart ²  like a scroll being rolled up, ³  and every mountain and island was moved from its place.

However, you may not eat the following animals among those that chew the cud or those that have divided hooves: the camel, the hare, and the rock badger. ¹  (Although they chew the cud, they do not have divided hooves and are therefore ritually impure to you).

The Lord’s shout strikes ¹  with flaming fire. ² 

So there was a division in the crowd ¹  because of Jesus. ² 

And just as Jesus ¹  was coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens ²  splitting apart and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. ³ 

Early in the morning Abraham got up and saddled his donkey. ¹  He took two of his young servants with him, along with his son Isaac. When he had cut the wood for the burnt offering, he started out ²  for the place God had spoken to him about.

The Lord’s shout breaks ¹  the cedars, the Lord shatters ²  the cedars of Lebanon. ³ 

When I tried to make sense of this, it was troubling to me. ¹ 

And now ¹  they are tearing down ²  all its engravings ³  with axes ⁴  and crowbars. ⁵ 

Afterward ¹  it bites like a snake, and stings like a viper.

So listen to this, oppressed one, who is drunk, but not from wine!

If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.

because the sun’s light failed. ¹  The temple curtain ²  was torn in two.

Another sharp division took place among the Jewish people ¹  because of these words.

But the population ¹  of the city was divided; some ²  sided with the Jews, and some with the apostles.

So Abram ¹  took all these for him and then cut them in two ²  and placed each half opposite the other, ³  but he did not cut the birds in half.

Also the pig is ritually impure to you; though it has divided hooves, ¹  it does not chew the cud. You may not eat their meat or even touch their remains.
