Now all the Jews know the way I lived ¹  from my youth, spending my life from the beginning among my own people ²  and in Jerusalem. ³ 

Three times I was beaten with a rod. ¹  Once I received a stoning. ²  Three times I suffered shipwreck. A night and a day I spent adrift in the open sea.

Jacob ¹  stayed there that night. Then he sent ²  as a gift ³  to his brother Esau

Therefore, you remained at Kadesh for a long time – indeed, for the full time. ¹ 

My days ¹  are swifter ²  than a weaver’s shuttle ³  and they come to an end without hope. ⁴ 

After this, ¹  Jesus and his disciples came into Judean territory, and there he spent time with them and was baptizing.

and after taking some food, his strength returned. For several days ¹  he was with the disciples in Damascus,

and were continually in the temple courts ¹  blessing ²  God. ³ 

but they urged him, ¹  “Stay with us, because it is getting toward evening and the day is almost done.” So ²  he went in to stay with them.

(All the Athenians and the foreigners who lived there used to spend their time ¹  in nothing else than telling ²  or listening to something new.) ³ 

After he spent ¹  some time there, Paul left and went through the region of Galatia ²  and Phrygia, ³  strengthening all the disciples.

Live with him for a little while ¹  until your brother’s rage subsides.

They spent three days feasting ¹  there with David, for their relatives had given them provisions.

My spirit is broken, ¹  my days have faded out, ²  the grave ³  awaits me.

For very soon my fury ¹  will subside, and my anger will be directed toward their destruction.”

Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.

When the man got ready to leave, ¹  his father-in-law convinced him to stay another night. ² 

When they got near Jebus, it was getting quite late ¹  and the servant ²  said to his master, “Come on, let’s stop at ³  this Jebusite city and spend the night in it.”

Do not reject me in my old age! ¹  When my strength fails, do not abandon me!

After ¹  they had spent some time there, ²  they were sent off in peace by the brothers to those who had sent them. ³
