Now a certain man named Lazarus was sick. He was from Bethany, the village where Mary and her sister Martha lived. ¹ 

So when he heard that Lazarus ¹  was sick, he remained in the place where he was for two more days.

When ¹  Jesus heard this he said, “Those who are healthy don’t need a physician, but those who are sick do. ² 

Heal the sick, raise the dead, ¹  cleanse lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.

I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.’

I was a stranger and you did not receive me as a guest, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’

Then they too will answer, ¹  ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not give you whatever you needed?’

He was not able to do a miracle there, except to lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them.

they will pick up snakes with their hands, and whatever poison they drink will not harm them; ¹  they will place their hands on the sick and they will be well.”

Thus ¹  they even carried the sick out into the streets, and put them on cots and pallets, so that when Peter came by at least his shadow would fall on some of them.

A crowd of people from the towns around Jerusalem ¹  also came together, bringing the sick and those troubled by unclean spirits. ²  They ³  were all ⁴  being healed.

so that when even handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched his body ¹  were brought ²  to the sick, their diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them. ³ 

and he sent ¹  them out to proclaim ²  the kingdom of God ³  and to heal the sick. ⁴ 

A great number of sick, blind, lame, and paralyzed people were lying in these walkways. ¹ 

and to have authority to cast out demons.

You must serve ¹  the Lord your God, and he ²  will bless your bread and your water, ³  and I will remove sickness from your midst.

And you will get a serious, chronic intestinal disease which will cause your intestines to come out.” ¹ 

So the king said to me, “Why do you appear to be depressed when you aren’t sick? What can this be other than sadness of heart?” This made me very fearful.

When the people ¹  there recognized him, they sent word into all the surrounding area, and they brought all their sick to him.

Is anyone among you ill? He should summon the elders of the church, and they should pray for him and anoint ¹  him with oil in the name of the Lord.
