O God, you cause abundant showers to fall ¹  on your chosen people. ²  When they ³  are tired, you sustain them, ⁴ 

He ¹  will descend like rain on the mown grass, ²  like showers that drench ³  the earth. ⁴ 

A bright look ¹  brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the body. ² 

But God, who encourages ¹  the downhearted, encouraged ²  us by the arrival of Titus.

Ointment and incense make the heart rejoice, ¹  likewise the sweetness of one’s friend from sincere counsel. ²
