The Lord will be unwilling to forgive him, and his intense anger ¹  will rage ²  against that man; all the curses ³  written in this scroll will fall upon him ⁴  and the Lord will obliterate his name from memory. ⁵ 

They refused to obey and did not recall your miracles that you had performed among them. Instead, they rebelled and appointed a leader to return to their bondage in Egypt. ¹  But you are a God of forgiveness, merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and unfailing in your loyal love. ²  You did not abandon them,

He is the one who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, ¹ 

“Do ¹  not judge, ²  and you will not be judged; ³  do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; forgive, ⁴  and you will be forgiven.

But it is your custom that I release one prisoner ¹  for you at the Passover. ²  So do you want me to release for you the king of the Jews?”

The Lord rescues his servants; ¹  all who take shelter in him escape punishment. ² 

During the feast the governor was accustomed to release one prisoner to the crowd, ¹  whomever they wanted.

But the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowds to ask for Barabbas and to have Jesus killed.

But you rejected ¹  the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a man who was a murderer be released to you.

She conceived again and gave birth to a daughter. Then the Lord ¹  said to him, “Name her ‘No Pity’ (Lo-Ruhamah) because I will no longer have pity ²  on the nation ³  of Israel. For ⁴  I will certainly not forgive ⁵  their guilt. ⁶ 

From this point on, Pilate tried ¹  to release him. But the Jewish leaders ²  shouted out, ³  “If you release this man, ⁴  you are no friend of Caesar! ⁵  Everyone who claims to be a king ⁶  opposes Caesar!”

As Saul approached Samuel in the middle of the gate, he said, “Please tell me where the seer’s house is.”

Listen to the painful cries of the prisoners! ¹  Use your great strength to set free those condemned to die! ² 

They will be imprisoned in a pit, ¹  locked up in a prison, and after staying there for a long time, ²  they will be punished. ³

So after they had assembled, Pilate said to them, “Whom do you want me to release for you, Jesus ¹  Barabbas or Jesus who is called the Christ?” ² 

The ¹  governor asked them, “Which of the two do you want me to release for you?” And they said, “Barabbas!”

Then he released Barabbas for them. But after he had Jesus flogged, ¹  he handed him over ²  to be crucified. ³ 

So Pilate said, ¹  “Do you refuse to speak to me? Don’t you know I have the authority ²  to release you, and to crucify you?” ³
