Do ¹  not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

When ¹  Jesus heard this he said, “Those who are healthy don’t need a physician, but those who are sick do. ² 

If anyone says anything to you, you are to say, ‘The Lord needs them,’ ¹  and he will send them at once.”

If anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it ¹  and will send it back here soon.’”

If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ just say, ‘The Lord needs ¹  it.’”

Then ¹  they said, “Why do we need further testimony? We have heard it ourselves ²  from his own lips!” ³ 

Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? We don’t need letters of recommendation to you or from you as some other people do, do we? ¹ 

And my God will supply your every need according to his glorious riches ¹  in Christ Jesus.

Now on the topic of brotherly love ¹  you have no need for anyone to write you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another.

Therefore let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace whenever we need help. ¹ 

For you need endurance in order to do God’s will and so receive what is promised. ¹ 

But whoever has the world’s possessions ¹  and sees his fellow Christian ²  in need and shuts off his compassion against him, how can the love of God ³  reside ⁴  in such a person? ⁵ 

The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, because the glory of God lights it up, and its lamp is the Lamb.

So they gathered it each morning, ¹  each person according to what he could eat, and when the sun got hot, it would melt. ² 

For even in Thessalonica ¹  on more than one occasion ²  you sent something for my need.

At the present time, your abundance will meet their need, ¹  so that one day their abundance may also meet your need, and thus there may be equality,

When ¹  I was with you and was in need, I was not a burden to anyone, for the brothers who came from Macedonia fully supplied my needs. ²  I ³  kept myself from being a burden to you in any way, and will continue to do so.

For the unconverted ¹  pursue these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

But when the crowds found out, they followed him. He ¹  welcomed them, spoke to them about the kingdom of God, ²  and cured those who needed healing. ³ 

Some thought that, because Judas had the money box, Jesus was telling him to buy whatever they needed for the feast, ¹  or to give something to the poor.) ²
