all flesh would perish together and human beings would return to dust.

You destroy their offspring ¹  from the earth, their descendants ²  from among the human race. ³ 

But I ¹  am a worm, ²  not a man; ³  people insult me and despise me. ⁴ 

The Lord watches ¹  from heaven; he sees all people. ² 

I rashly declared, ¹  “All men are liars.”

rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth, ¹  and delighting ²  in its people. ³ 

A foolish scheme ¹  is sin, and the scorner is an abomination to people. ² 

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people. ¹

“I will destroy people and animals; I will destroy the birds in the sky and the fish in the sea. (The idolatrous images of these creatures will be destroyed along with evil people.) ¹  I will remove ²  humanity from the face of the earth,” says the Lord.
