The Israelites, ¹  however, ²  were fruitful, increased greatly, multiplied, and became extremely strong, ³  so that the land was filled with them.

Wealth gained quickly ¹  will dwindle away, ²  but the one who gathers it little by little ³  will become rich. ⁴ 

The one who is wise in heart ¹  is called ²  discerning, and kind speech ³  increases persuasiveness. ⁴ 

Indeed, she lies in wait like a robber, ¹  and increases the unfaithful ²  among men. ³ 

The one who increases his wealth by increasing interest ¹  gathers it for someone who is gracious ²  to the needy.

They will eat, but not be satisfied; they will engage in prostitution, but not increase in numbers; because they have abandoned the Lord by pursuing other gods. ¹ 

Do not trust in what you can gain by oppression! ¹  Do not put false confidence in what you can gain by robbery! ²  If wealth increases, do not become attached to it! ³ 

“But you, Daniel, close up these words and seal the book until the time of the end. Many will dash about, ¹  and knowledge will increase.”

Yes, the Lord will bestow his good blessings, ¹  and our land will yield ²  its crops.

The downtrodden will again rejoice in the Lord; the poor among humankind will take delight ¹  in the Holy One of Israel. ² 

He gives strength to those who are tired; to the ones who lack power, he gives renewed energy.

Indeed, ¹  you had little before I arrived, ²  but now your possessions have increased many times over. ³  The Lord has blessed you wherever I worked. ⁴  But now, how long must it be before I do something for my own family too?” ⁵ 

The flood engulfed the earth for forty days. As the waters increased, they lifted the ark and raised it above the earth.

But as for you, ¹  be fruitful and multiply; increase abundantly on the earth and multiply on it.”

You bring new witnesses ¹  against me, and increase your anger against me; relief troops ²  come against me.

By your great skill ¹  in trade you have increased your wealth, and your heart is proud because of your wealth.

The word of God continued to spread, ¹  the number of disciples in Jerusalem ²  increased greatly, and a large group ³  of priests became obedient to the faith.

I planted, ¹  Apollos watered, but God caused it to grow.

And may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another and for all, just as we do for you,

Little by little ¹  I will drive them out before you, until you become fruitful and inherit the land.
