Blessed is anyone ¹  who takes no offense at me.”

It ¹  furiously struck down nations with unceasing blows. ²  It angrily ruled over nations, oppressing them without restraint. ³ 

From this day forward I am he; no one can deliver from my power; ¹  I will act, and who can prevent it?”

But Jesus said, “Do not stop him, because no one who does a miracle in my name will be able soon afterward to say anything bad about me.

If others receive this right from you, are we not more deserving? But we have not made use of this right. Instead we endure everything so that we may not be a hindrance to the gospel of Christ.

“I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted;

He drove his enemies back; he made them a permanent target for insults. ¹ 

When you walk, your steps ¹  will not be hampered, ²  and when you run, ³  you will not stumble.

But Jesus said to him, “Do not stop him, for whoever is not against you is for you.”

proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ ¹  with complete boldness ²  and without restriction. ³ 

But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing,

We do not give anyone ¹  an occasion for taking an offense in anything, ²  so that no fault may be found with our ministry.

“Listen, sir, ¹  you are a mighty prince ²  among us! You may bury your dead in the choicest of our tombs. None of us will refuse you his tomb to prevent you ³  from burying your dead.”

I do not want you to be unaware, ¹  brothers and sisters, ²  that I often intended to come to you (and was prevented until now), so that I may have some fruit even among you, just as I already have among the rest of the Gentiles. ³ 

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, ¹  we must get rid of every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and run with endurance the race set out for us,

There were six steps leading up to the throne, and the back of it was rounded on top. The throne had two armrests with a statue of a lion standing on each side. ¹ 

Leave the work on this temple of God alone. ¹  Let the governor of the Jews and the elders of the Jews rebuild this temple of God in its proper place.

Moreover, on that day living waters will flow out from Jerusalem, ¹  half of them to the eastern sea ²  and half of them to the western sea; ³  it will happen both in summer and in winter.

And so they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his own house.”

But ¹  he was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. They woke him up and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care that we are about to die?”
