Sighing deeply in his spirit he said, “Why does this generation look for a sign? I tell you the truth, ¹  no sign will be given to this generation.”

You must give to the Lord some of the first of your finely ground flour as a raised offering in your future generations.

For the Lord is good. His loyal love endures, ¹  and he is faithful through all generations. ² 

One generation will praise your deeds to another, and tell about your mighty acts! ¹ 

“How great are his signs! How mighty are his wonders! His kingdom will last forever, ¹  and his authority continues from one generation to the next.”

And you are to tell the Israelites: ‘This is to be my sacred anointing oil throughout your generations.

The Israelites must keep the Sabbath by observing the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.

So these things must be a statutory ordinance ¹  for you throughout your generations, in all the places where you live.
