The Lord abhors ¹  dishonest scales, ²  but an accurate weight ³  is his elight.

The Lord abhors ¹  those who are perverse in heart, ²  but those who are blameless in their ways ³  are his delight. ⁴ 

The Lord ¹  abhors a person who lies, ²  but those who deal truthfully ³  are his delight. ⁴ 

The Lord abhors ¹  the way of the wicked, but he loves those ²  who pursue ³  righteousness.

After he fasted forty days and forty nights he was famished. ¹ 

Now ¹  when it was noon, ²  darkness came over the whole land ³  until three in the afternoon. ⁴ 

But ¹  when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled back.

¹ Moses heard the people weeping ²  throughout their families, everyone at the door of his tent; and when the anger of the Lord was kindled greatly, Moses was also displeased. ³ 

your southern border ¹  will extend from the wilderness of Zin along the Edomite border, and your southern border will run eastward to the extremity of the Salt Sea,

He ¹  will afflict you with weakness, ²  fever, inflammation, infection, ³  sword, ⁴  blight, and mildew; these will attack you until you perish.

The man among you who is by nature tender and sensitive will turn against his brother, his beloved wife, and his remaining children.

Go and make further arrangements. Determine precisely ¹  where he is ²  and who has seen him there, for I am told that he is extremely cunning.

So I thought to myself, “The fate of the fool will happen even to me! ¹  Then what did I gain by becoming so excessively ²  wise?” ³  So I lamented to myself, ⁴  “The benefits of wisdom ⁵  are ultimately ⁶  meaningless!”
