So if ¹  Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?

And if Satan rises against himself and is divided, he is not able to stand and his end has come.

For from now on ¹  there will be five in one household divided, three against two and two against three.

These are the ones whom the Lord commanded to divide up the inheritance among the Israelites in the land of Canaan.

The Israelites followed the Lord’s instructions to Moses and divided up the land. ¹ 

The king then said, “Cut the living child in two, and give half to one and half to the other!”
