(For his disciples had gone off into the town to buy supplies. ¹ ) ² 

Meanwhile the disciples were urging him, ¹  “Rabbi, eat something.” ² 

So Jesus went on up the mountainside ¹  and sat down there with his disciples.

Now when evening came, his disciples went down to the lake, ¹ 

Then Peter and the other disciple set out to go to the tomb. ¹ 

Then ¹  they said to him, “John’s ²  disciples frequently fast ³  and pray, ⁴  and so do the disciples of the Pharisees, ⁵  but yours continue to eat and drink.” ⁶ 

While this was happening, ¹  the high priest questioned Jesus about his disciples and about his teaching. ² 

Simon Peter and another disciple followed them as they brought Jesus to Annas. ¹  (Now the other disciple ²  was acquainted with the high priest, and he went with Jesus into the high priest’s courtyard.) ³ 

He then said to his disciple, “Look, here is your mother!” From that very time ¹  the disciple took her into his own home.

When he had said these things, ¹  Jesus went out with his disciples across the Kidron Valley. ²  There was an orchard ³  there, and he and his disciples went into it.

Some of the disciples from Caesarea ¹  came along with us too, and brought us to the house ²  of Mnason of Cyprus, a disciple from the earliest times, ³  with whom we were to stay.

Then John’s ¹  disciples came to Jesus ²  and asked, “Why do we and the Pharisees ³  fast often, ⁴  but your disciples don’t fast?”

Then Jesus and his disciples went to the villages of Caesarea Philippi. ¹  On the way he asked his disciples, ²  “Who do people say that I am?”

When he arrived in Jerusalem, ¹  he attempted to associate ²  with the disciples, and they were all afraid of him, because they did not believe ³  that he was a disciple.

Jesus and his disciples got up and followed him.

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.

Now when John ¹  heard in prison about the deeds Christ ²  had done, he sent his disciples to ask a question: ³ 

And pointing ¹  toward his disciples he said, “Here ²  are my mother and my brothers!

Then ¹  the disciples came to him and said, “Why do you speak to them in parables?”

Then John’s ¹  disciples came and took the body and buried it and went and told Jesus.
