Come! Witness the exploits ¹  of the Lord, who brings devastation to the earth! ² 

Cries of anguish will arise in Horonaim, ‘Oh, the ruin and great destruction!’

When they invaded ¹  with their cattle and tents, they were as thick ²  as locusts. Neither they nor their camels could be counted. ³  They came to devour ⁴  the land.

Your land is devastated, your cities burned with fire. Right before your eyes your crops are being destroyed by foreign invaders. ¹  They leave behind devastation and destruction. ²

For it is a fire that devours even to Destruction, ¹  and it would uproot ²  all my harvest.

Hurry and look ¹  at the permanent ruins, and all the damage the enemy has done to the temple! ²
