Moses went up the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.

Then ¹  he began to teach ²  them by saying:

Then Moses ascended from the deserts of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the summit of Pisgah, which is opposite Jericho. ¹  The Lord showed him the whole land – Gilead to Dan,

‘Death has climbed in ¹  through our windows. It has entered into our fortified houses. It has taken away our children who play in the streets. It has taken away our young men who gather in the city squares.’

People of Jerusalem, ¹  go up to Lebanon and cry out in mourning. Go to the land of Bashan and cry out loudly. Cry out in mourning from the mountains of Moab. ²  For your allies ³  have all been defeated.

Indeed they will climb the slopes of Luhith, weeping continually as they go. ¹  For on the road down to Horonaim they will hear the cries of distress over the destruction. ² 

Then he went to the gate facing east. He climbed its steps and measured the threshold of the gate as 10½ feet deep. ¹ 

When Jotham heard the news, ¹  he went and stood on the top of Mount Gerizim. He spoke loudly to the people below, ²  “Listen to me, leaders of Shechem, so that God may listen to you!

After the men had left, Ahimaaz and Jonathan ¹  climbed out of the well. Then they left and informed King David. They advised David, “Get up and cross the stream ²  quickly, for Ahithophel has devised a plan to catch you.” ³ 

Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and the seventy elders of Israel went up, ¹ 

When Saul ¹  had finished prophesying, he went to the high place.

God has ascended his throne ¹  amid loud shouts; ²  the Lord has ascended his throne amid the blaring of ram’s horns. ³ 

The wild goats live in the high mountains; ¹  the rock badgers find safety in the cliffs.

But you were brought down ¹  to Sheol, to the remote slopes of the pit. ² 

After saying good-bye to them, he went to the mountain to pray.

As they got out of the boat, people immediately recognized Jesus. ¹ 

So he came down quickly ¹  and welcomed Jesus ²  joyfully. ³ 

So Jesus went on up the mountainside ¹  and sat down there with his disciples.

Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and join this chariot.”

The Lord came down on Mount Sinai, on the top of the mountain, and the Lord summoned Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.
