From Paul ¹  and Silvanus and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians ²  in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

But if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for the church of God?

to Apphia ¹  our sister, ²  to Archippus our ³  fellow soldier, and to the church that meets in your house.

I wrote something to the church, ¹  but Diotrephes, ²  who loves to be first among them, does not acknowledge us. ³

The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand and the seven golden lampstands is this: ¹  The seven stars are the angels ²  of the seven churches and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

About that time King Herod ¹  laid hands on ²  some from the church to harm them. ³ 

So the churches were being strengthened in the faith and were increasing in number every day. ¹ 

and when he arrived ¹  at Caesarea, ²  he went up and greeted ³  the church at Jerusalem ⁴  and then went down to Antioch. ⁵
