So then, be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. ¹ 

“Watch out for false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are voracious wolves. ¹

O Lord, sovereign God! ¹  Who is strong like you, O Lord? Your faithfulness surrounds you.

So I decided ¹  to discern the benefit of ²  wisdom and knowledge over ³  foolish behavior and ideas; ⁴  however, I concluded ⁵  that even ⁶  this endeavor ⁷  is like ⁸  trying to chase the wind! ⁹ 

Blessed are you, O land, when your king is the son of nobility, ¹  and your princes feast at the proper time ²  – with self-control and not in drunkenness. ³ 

Having heard everything, I have reached this conclusion: ¹  Fear God and keep his commandments, because this is the whole duty ²  of man.

You keep completely safe the people who maintain their faith, for they trust in you. ¹ 

The sovereign Lord confirms this oath by his own holy character: ¹  “Certainly the time is approaching ²  when you will be carried away ³  in baskets, ⁴  every last one of you ⁵  in fishermen’s pots. ⁶
