Jotham passed away ¹  and was buried with his ancestors in the city of his ancestor David. His son Ahaz replaced him as king.

Jehoshaphat passed away ¹  and was buried with his ancestors ²  in the City of David. ³  His son Jehoram ⁴  replaced him as king.

He was buried in the City of David ¹  with the kings, because he had accomplished good in Israel and for God and his temple.

The clods of the torrent valley ¹  are sweet to him; behind him everybody follows in procession, and before him goes a countless throng.

“What ¹  profit is there in taking my life, ²  in my descending into the Pit? ³  Can the dust of the grave ⁴  praise you? Can it declare your loyalty? ⁵
