No one who has even a small portion of the Spirit in him does this. ¹  What did our ancestor ²  do when seeking a child from God? Be attentive, then, to your own spirit, for one should not be disloyal to the wife he took in his youth. ³ 

“While the earth continues to exist, ¹  planting time ²  and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night will not cease.”

Abram added, ¹  “Since ²  you have not given me a descendant, then look, one born in my house will be my heir!” ³

but I took your father Abraham from beyond the Euphrates ¹  and brought him into ²  the entire land of Canaan. I made his descendants numerous; I gave him Isaac,

So she gathered grain in the field until evening. When she threshed ¹  what she had gathered, it came to about thirty pounds ²  of barley!
