When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of pieces did you pick up?” They replied, “Twelve.”

Jesus ¹  asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood.

For this reason I tell you, whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

It ¹  could have been sold for more than three hundred silver coins ²  and the money ³  given to the poor!” So ⁴  they spoke angrily to her.

Therefore I tell you, her sins, which were many, are forgiven, thus she loved much; ¹  but the one who is forgiven little loves little.”

They all ate and were satisfied, and what was left over ¹  was picked up – twelve baskets of broken pieces.

If then you haven’t been trustworthy ¹  in handling worldly wealth, ²  who will entrust you with the true riches? ³ 

And if you haven’t been trustworthy ¹  with someone else’s property, ²  who will give you your own ³ ?

When ¹  he had taken his place at the table ²  with them, he took the bread, blessed and broke it, ³  and gave it to them.

Philip replied, ¹  “Two hundred silver coins worth ²  of bread would not be enough for them, for each one to get a little.”

So they gathered them up and filled twelve baskets with broken pieces from the five barley loaves ¹  left over by the people who had eaten.

But some boats from Tiberias ¹  came to shore ²  near the place where they had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks. ³ 

Meanwhile the other disciples came with the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from land, only about a hundred yards. ¹ 

(Now this man Judas ¹  acquired a field with the reward of his unjust deed, ²  and falling headfirst ³  he burst open in the middle and all his intestines ⁴  gushed out.

So after Peter and John ¹  had solemnly testified ²  and spoken the word of the Lord, ³  they started back to Jerusalem, proclaiming ⁴  the good news to many Samaritan villages ⁵  as they went. ⁶ 

As I stared ¹  I looked into it and saw four-footed animals of the earth, wild animals, reptiles, ²  and wild birds. ³ 

When Paul ¹  had greeted them, he began to explain ²  in detail ³  what God ⁴  had done among the Gentiles through his ministry.

Then when the sailors tried to escape from the ship and were lowering the ship’s boat into the sea, pretending ¹  that they were going to put out anchors from the bow,

I do not mean yours but the other person’s. For why is my freedom being judged by another’s conscience?
