“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star!” ¹ 

The one who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!

Then ¹  I saw thrones and seated on them were those who had been given authority to judge. ²  I also saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. These ³  had not worshiped the beast or his image and had refused to receive his mark on their forehead or hand. They ⁴  came to life ⁵  and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

The two villains arrived and sat opposite him. Then the villains testified against Naboth right before the people, saying, “Naboth cursed God and the king.” So they dragged him ¹  outside the city and stoned him to death. ² 

as his property in the presence of the sons of Heth before all who entered the gate of Ephron’s city. ¹ 

Silently the man watched her with interest to determine ¹  if the Lord had made his journey successful ²  or not.

“Here is this pile of stones and this pillar I have set up between me and you,” Laban said to Jacob. ¹ 

His sister stationed herself ¹  at a distance to find out ²  what would ³  happen to him.

¹ On the twentieth day of the second month, in the second year, the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle of the testimony. ² 

You must place them ¹  in the tent of meeting before the ark of the covenant ²  where I meet with you.

Boaz chose ten of the village leaders ¹  and said, “Sit down here!” So they sat down.

Here I am. Bring a charge against me before the Lord and before his chosen king. ¹  Whose ox have I taken? Whose donkey have I taken? Whom have I wronged? Whom have I oppressed? From whose hand have I taken a bribe so that I would overlook something? Tell me, ²  and I will return it to you!”

Will you show him partiality? ¹  Will you argue the case ²  for God?

Your own mouth condemns ¹  you, not I; your own lips testify against ²  you.

Why should we be regarded as beasts, and considered stupid ¹  in your sight?

The heavens reveal his iniquity; the earth rises up against him.

Have you never questioned those who travel the roads? Do you not recognize their accounts ¹  –

The Lord always proves faithful and reliable ¹  to those who follow the demands of his covenant. ² 

Magnify the Lord with me! Let’s praise ¹  his name together!

He summons the heavens above, as well as the earth, so that he might judge his people. ¹
