So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Because God has enabled you to know all this, there is no one as wise and discerning ¹  as you are!

The servant in charge ¹  brought the men into Joseph’s house. He gave them water, and they washed their feet. Then he gave food to their donkeys.

Do not eat it raw ¹  or boiled in water, but roast it over the fire with its head, its legs, and its entrails.

It must be eaten in one house; you must not bring any of the meat outside the house, and you must not break a bone of it.

“You are to make a special curtain ¹  of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine twisted linen; it is to be made ²  with cherubim, the work of an artistic designer.

You are to hang this curtain under the clasps and bring the ark of the testimony in there behind the curtain. ¹  The curtain will make a division for you between the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place. ² 

You are to take all the fat that covers the entrails, and the lobe ¹  that is above the liver, and the two kidneys and the fat that is on them, and burn them ²  on the altar.

Then you are to cut the ram into pieces and wash the entrails and its legs and put them on its pieces and on its head

You are to bring in the table and set out the things that belong on it; ¹  then you are to bring in the lampstand and set up its lamps.

Finally, the one presenting the offering ¹  must wash its entrails and its legs in water and the priest must offer all of it up in smoke on the altar ²  – it is ³  a burnt offering, a gift ⁴  of a soothing aroma to the Lord.

Then he ¹  took all the fat on the entrails, the protruding lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys and their fat, ²  and Moses offered it all up in smoke on the altar, ³ 

Then he took the fat (the fatty tail, ¹  all the fat on the entrails, the protruding lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys and their fat ² ) and the right thigh, ³ 

As for the fat parts from the ox and from the ram ¹  (the fatty tail, the fat covering the entrails, ²  the kidneys, and the protruding lobe of the liver),

“‘This is the law: When a man dies ¹  in a tent, anyone who comes into the tent and all who are in the tent will be ceremonially unclean seven days.

“Give these instructions ¹  to the Israelites, and tell them: ‘When you enter Canaan, the land that has been assigned to you as an inheritance, ²  the land of Canaan with its borders,

Then the border will continue down the Jordan River ¹  and its direction will be to the Salt Sea. This will be your land by its borders that surround it.’”

Fix these words of mine into your mind and being, ¹  and tie them as a reminder on your hands and let them be symbols ²  on your forehead.

At the end of every three years you must bring all the tithe of your produce, in that very year, and you must store it up in your villages.

If it accepts your terms ¹  and submits to you, all the people found in it will become your slaves. ² 

You must not oppress a lowly and poor servant, whether one from among your fellow Israelites ¹  or from the resident foreigners who are living in your land and villages. ²
