While ¹  they were perplexed ²  about this, suddenly ³  two men stood beside them in dazzling ⁴  attire.

When ¹  they had driven him out of the city, they began to stone him, ²  and the witnesses laid their cloaks ³  at the feet of a young man named Saul.

And when the blood of your witness ¹  Stephen was shed, ²  I myself was standing nearby, approving, ³  and guarding the cloaks ⁴  of those who were killing him.’ ⁵ 

and in the midst of the lampstands was one like a son of man. ¹  He was dressed in a robe extending down to his feet and he wore a wide golden belt ²  around his chest.

Then Joshua and all Israel took Achan, son of Zerah, along with the silver, the robe, the bar of gold, his sons, daughters, ox, donkey, sheep, tent, and all that belonged to him and brought them up to the Valley of Disaster. ¹ 

Elisha ¹  replied, “I was there in spirit when a man turned and got down from his chariot to meet you. ²  This is not the proper time to accept silver or to accept clothes, olive groves, vineyards, sheep, cattle, and male and female servants. ³ 

We are all like one who is unclean, all our so-called righteous acts are like a menstrual rag in your sight. ¹  We all wither like a leaf; our sins carry us away like the wind.

“While I was watching, thrones were set up, and the Ancient of Days ¹  took his seat. His attire was white like snow; the hair of his head was like lamb’s ²  wool. His throne was ablaze with fire and its wheels were all aflame. ³ 

Later Reuben returned to the cistern to find that Joseph was not in it! ¹  He tore his clothes,

Your clothing did not wear out nor did your feet swell all these forty years.

Now David, wearing a linen ephod, was dancing with all his strength before the Lord. ¹ 

If he piles up silver like dust and stores up clothing like mounds of clay,

If I have seen anyone about to perish for lack of clothing, or a poor man without a coat,

In embroidered robes she is escorted to the king. Her attendants, the maidens of honor who follow her, are led before you. ¹ 

She is not ¹  afraid of the snow ²  for her household, for all of her household are clothed with scarlet. ³ 

They brought the donkey and the colt and placed their cloaks ¹  on them, and he sat on them.

The one in the field must not turn back to get his cloak.

But when the apostles ¹  Barnabas and Paul heard about ²  it, they tore ³  their clothes and rushed out ⁴  into the crowd, shouting, ⁵ 

And to all these ¹  virtues ²  add ³  love, which is the perfect bond. ⁴ 

He has a name written on his clothing and on his thigh: “King of kings and Lord of lords.”
