But others jeered at the speakers, ¹  saying, “They are drunk on new wine!” ² 

saying, “You went to ¹  uncircumcised men and shared a meal with ²  them.”

But the crowd ¹  began to shout, ²  “The voice of a god, ³  and not of a man!”

For by it the people of old ¹  received God’s commendation. ² 

because I was terrified ¹  of the great multitude, ²  and the contempt of families terrified me, so that I remained silent and would not go outdoors – ³ 

Yes, your land lies in ruins; it is desolate and devastated. ¹  But now you will be too small to hold your residents, and those who devoured you will be far away.

Violence ¹  has grown into a staff that supports wickedness. Not one of them will be left ²  – not from their crowd, not from their wealth, not from their prominence. ³ 

The time has come; the day has struck! The customer should not rejoice, nor the seller mourn; for divine wrath ¹  comes against their whole crowd.

“They have blown the trumpet and everyone is ready, but no one goes to battle, because my anger is against their whole crowd. ¹ 

Now when Jesus learned of this, he went away from there. Great ¹  crowds ²  followed him, and he healed them all.

Send them away so that they can go into the surrounding countryside and villages and buy something for themselves to eat.”

But if we say, ‘From people – ’” (they feared the crowd, for they all considered John to be truly a prophet).

As for the seed that ¹  fell among thorns, these are the ones who hear, but ²  as they go on their way they are choked ³  by the worries and riches and pleasures of life, ⁴  and their fruit does not mature. ⁵ 

Now ¹  a woman was there who had been suffering from a hemorrhage ²  for twelve years ³  but could not be healed by anyone.

“Here is a boy who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what good ¹  are these for so many people?”

Early in the morning he came to the temple courts again. All the people came to him, and he sat down and began to teach ¹  them.

The ¹  city was filled with the uproar, ²  and the crowd ³  rushed to the theater ⁴  together, ⁵  dragging with them Gaius and Aristarchus, the Macedonians who were Paul’s traveling companions.

So I say this, and insist ¹  in the Lord, that you no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility ²  of their thinking. ³ 

After these things I heard what sounded like the loud voice of a vast throng in heaven, saying, “Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God,

After these things I looked, and here was ¹  an enormous crowd that no one could count, made up of persons from every nation, tribe, ²  people, and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb dressed in long white robes, and with palm branches in their hands.
