All these had taken foreign wives, and some of them also had children by these women. ¹ 

The account of his intervention ¹  will be recorded for future generations; people yet to be born will praise the Lord.

“Israel is not a slave, is he? He was not born into slavery, was he? ¹  If not, why then is he being carried off?

Don’t the scriptures say that the Christ is a descendant ¹  of David ²  and comes from Bethlehem, ³  the village where David lived?” ⁴

Hezron was the father of Ram, Ram was the father of Amminadab,

Amminadab was the father of Nachshon, Nachshon was the father of Salmah,

Salmon ¹  was the father of Boaz, Boaz was the father of Obed,
