“These are the exits of the city: On the north side, one and one-half miles ¹  by measure,

Then many will be led into sin, ¹  and they will betray one another and hate one another.

“You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man will be handed over ¹  to be crucified.” ² 

When ¹  they had done this, they caught so many fish that their nets started to tear. ² 

But those days are coming, and when the bridegroom is taken from them, ¹  at that time ²  they will fast.”

When they sprout leaves, you see ¹  for yourselves and know that summer is now near.

When the feast was half over, Jesus went up to the temple courts ¹  and began to teach. ²

For after I have brought them ¹  to the land I promised to their ²  ancestors – one flowing with milk and honey – and they ³  eat their fill ⁴  and become fat, then they ⁵  will turn to other gods and worship them; they will reject me and break my covenant.

He said, “May you be rewarded ¹  by the Lord, my dear! ²  This act of devotion ³  is greater than what you did before. ⁴  For you have not sought to marry ⁵  one of the young men, whether rich or poor. ⁶ 

I will establish a place for my people Israel and settle ¹  them there; they will live there and not be disturbed ²  any more. Violent men ³  will not oppress them again, as they did in the beginning

At the beginning ¹  of the year the Syrian army attacked ²  Joash ³  and invaded Judah and Jerusalem. They wiped out all the leaders of the people and sent all the plunder they gathered to the king of Damascus.

The day you begin cultivating, you do what you can to make it grow; ¹  the morning you begin planting, you do what you can to make it sprout. Yet the harvest will disappear ²  in the day of disease and incurable pain.
