Fools mock ¹  at reparation, ²  but among the upright there is favor. ³ 

The backslider ¹  will be paid back ²  from his own ways, but a good person will be rewarded ³  for his.

The Lord abhors ¹  the plans ²  of the wicked, ³  but pleasant words ⁴  are pure. ⁵ 

A bribe works like ¹  a charm ²  for the one who offers it; ³  in whatever he does ⁴  he succeeds. ⁵ 

Charm is deceitful ¹  and beauty is fleeting, ²  but a woman who fears the Lord ³  will be praised.

The words of a wise person ¹  win him ²  favor, ³  but the words ⁴  of a fool are self-destructive. ⁵ 

Then those officials who had gone to the king ¹  came by collusion and found Daniel praying and asking for help before his God.

So I turned my attention ¹  to the Lord God ²  to implore him by prayer and requests, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes. ³ 

The crown will then be turned over to Helem, ¹  Tobijah, Jedaiah, and Hen ²  son of Zephaniah as a memorial in the temple of the Lord.

“All nations will call you happy, for you indeed will live in ¹  a delightful land,” says the Lord who rules over all.

So ¹  the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, ²  Mary, for you have found favor ³  with God!

He ¹  found favor ²  with ³  God and asked that he could ⁴  find a dwelling place ⁵  for the house ⁶  of Jacob.

But God was not pleased with most of them, for they were cut down in the wilderness.

But it is God who establishes ¹  us together with you in Christ and who anointed us, ² 

begging us with great earnestness for the blessing and fellowship of helping ¹  the saints.

Your ¹  servant has found favor with you, ²  and you have shown me great ³  kindness ⁴  by sparing ⁵  my life. But I am not able to escape to the mountains because ⁶  this disaster will overtake ⁷  me and I’ll die. ⁸
